George Mason University honored the largest and most diverse graduating class in its history with a virtual Celebration of the Class of 2020 on May 22.
We are the College of Visual and Performing Arts. We are a community of more than 2,000 students, faculty, and staff. We are seven academic units (on four campuses), two community academies, two performing arts centers, the nation's best pep band, and many galleries, theaters, and studios. Every one of us can play a vital role in this viral time.
Rising sophomore, Carmella Leilah Taitt, is keeping busy this summer dancing in New York City. She has danced with New York Dance Project, Bounce, Zvi at City Center, and will be finishing with Rioult!
“There is definitely a strong relationship between dance and beauty,” I said to myself, looking at all the beautiful dancers, young and old, when I attended the 2019 Mason Dance Company Gala Concert on March 30. It even made me feel that everyone should enroll in a dance class to enhance their own beauty instead of using artificial beauty products. Not only does dance sculpt our bodies, it also sharpens our senses.dance- Marrow, a dance choreographed by senior dance major Shelly Cochrane, was selected to be presented at the National American College Dance Association conference at the Kennedy Center, June 6-9, 2018.
