Adjunct Faculty, CVPA Adjunct Faculty, DanceVictor Adebusola is a household name for hip-hop in the D.C.-metropolitan area, serving as an established dancer, choreographer, and instructor. He graduated from the University of Maryland, where he found an on campus based hip-hop team called Dynamic Hip-Hop Dance Troupe and eventually became Artistic Director.
Professor, DanceSHAUN BOYLE is a dance practitioner and educator with research interests in classical and contemporary ballet, modern/contemporary dance, and choreographic practice. Shaun has performed in both ballet and contemporary dance companies including Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, BalletMet, Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance, and The Dario Vaccaro Dance Project amongst others. She has also performed in projects such as David Dorfman's ‘Underground’ at the BAM Nextwave Festival and in the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay performances in England.
Adjunct Faculty, CVPA
Adjunct Faculty, DanceBorn in New York City, Ethan was the fifth member of his family to dance with American Ballet Theatre. His parents, Isabel and Kelly Brown, and sisters, Leslie Browne and Elizabeth Laing, also spent their entire dance careers with ABT. He received his training at the School of American Ballet prior to joining the corps de ballet of ABT in 1981. He was promoted to the rank of soloist in 1988 and retired from the stage in 2004.
Dean, College of Visual and Performing Arts, CVPA Executive Director, Hylton Performing Arts Center, CVPA Professor, School of Theater, Theater Dean, College of Visual and Performing Arts & Adjunct Faculty, Arts Management, Arts Management…Rick joined Mason in 1991 as Artistic Director of Theater of the First Amendment (TFA) and a member of the theater faculty. The company, which presented its final programs in 2012, was nominated for 38 Helen Hayes Awards, winning 12, and originated numerous works that went on to other regional theaters, television, radio, and publication.
Athletic Trainer, Dance, CVPADr. Jena Hansen-Honeycutt has worked at George Mason University since 2016 as a certified and licensed athletic trainer for the School of Dance. She specializes in treatment and rehabilitation of dance injuries and provides individualized injury prevention programs. She obtained her Doctorate of Athletic Training (DAT) through University of Idaho (2016), Masters of Science (MS) from California University of Pennsylvania (2013) and Bachelors of Science (BS) in Athletic Training from University of Idaho (2011).
