Jena Hansen-Honeycutt is a BOC certified athletic trainer and licensed in Virginia. She obtained her Doctorate of Athletic Training (DAT) through University of Idaho (2016), Masters of Science (MS) from California University of Pennsylvania (2013) and Bachelors of Science (BS) in Athletic Training from University of Idaho (2011).
Dr. Hansen-Honeycutt has worked at George Mason University (GMU) since 2016 as an athletic trainer for the School of Dance and as an adjunct professor. Prior to working at GMU, she worked as an athletic trainer at Disneyland, as the Head Athletic Trainer for Eleanor Roosevelt High School in California, and as the Head Athletic Trainer for California Area High School in Pennsylvania.
Research interests include (1) dance medicine and science, (2) breathing pattern disorders, (3) manual therapy interventions for musculoskeletal pathologies.
