JIM LEPORE is a professor of dance at George Mason University and a member of the faculty of the White Mountain Summer Dance Festival. In a previous life Jim performed with Carolyn Carlson’s La Fenice Dance/Theater (Venice) and the Jose Limon Company. Certified in Laban Movement Analysis, he earned his MFA at Temple University, and since 1996 has directed study-abroad workshops in Afro-Cuban dance in Santiago, Cuba. He has instructed workshops and choreographed nationally and internationally, including a 2003 collaboration with Cuban choreographer Narciso Medina that premiered in Havana, Cuba. |
